As of today, anyone who selects “Teaching” as the Purpose of a space during creation will receive an auto-email refresher about inviting students to the Commons, providing directions for adding students to a Commons course group or site, and links to Commons teaching resources📝

We’ve also improved our landing page for creating a Site or Group, making it easier to understand the benefits of different types of spaces on the Commons. There’s also a new section highlighting Site and Group cloning options to use as a template for a new one! pic.twitter.com/AmXMw4qxaU

The Groups, Sites, and Courses directories also show a featured row upon loading. These sections draw from the same curated sets we started surfacing with the new homepage. The section do however drops away when filtering or paging away from the directory front page 🔎

You can take advantage of a personalized tab here as well and see only Events that are associated with your Commons connections. There are a series of filters as well, and even the ability to toggle back to the traditional grid view if you’re in need of more structure 👌
